Central Brittany B and B Booking Terms and conditions

Central Brittany B and B is a beautiful home which has been lovingly restored to offer you boutique bed and breakfast accommodation. We are open all year.

Thank you for booking to stay with Sharon and Pete here at Central Brittany B and B in Rohan 56580 Brittany.

We take pride in our rooms and home and we aim to give the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the property and your stay. We ensure deep cleaning between guests and antibac cleaner is used in all common areas. Hand-gel is provided at check-in and in your rooms, please use this as required. 

The customer agrees to be a considerate guest and to take good care of the property and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the stay. Please be considerate of other guests staying. Noise after 11pm should be kept to a minimum.

Booking

By placing a booking with us, you and your booked guests agree to the following terms and conditions. During your stay you agree to abide by the conditions set out below.

  • To place a booking with us the lead guest must be over 18 years of age.
  • The maximum number of guests per room is illustrated in the occupancy details on the website and must not be exceeded.
  • The person making the booking is the responsible and accountable person, non-arrival and damages are set out within this document and will be financially recovered from the accountable person.
  • Only the lead guest and the named persons on the booking are allowed to use the property and its facilities, any additional visitors are only allowed access with permission of the proprietor.
  • The booking form must be completed and return by email or post, name, address and phone number date of birth of all guests.
  • To secure a booking we require a deposit to be paid in advance,

– A deposit of 30% of the total stay if booking B and B rooms

– 150.00€ non refundable deposit when booking Walking Community Breaks

  • Deposit payments must be cleared funds before a booking can be confirmed,
  • Deposits are only refundable under the conditions set out in this document.
  • Payments can be made online via a payment link, BACS online banking, cheque or cash. Any transactions that are failed and incurred charges by the bank must be paid for by the accountable person named on the booking and within 7 days of the request to pay.
  • If you do not arrive and use your booked accommodation without cancelling in advance NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN.
  • Bookings made with less than one week to the date of stay Must be paid in FULL at the time of booking.

Check-in and Check-out

  • Guests must check-in and check-out at the times stated.

  • Check-in 5pm – if you require an earlier check-in please contact us.

  • The registration form provided on arrival is required by French law and must be completed on arrival.

  • If you do not hold a French Passport you will be asked to complete the FICHE
    INDIVIDUELLE DE POLICE DES TOURISTES ETRANGERS

  • Check-out 10am – if you require a later check-out time please arrange with us, a fee WILL apply.

  • The Tax de Sejour will be collected at check-in this is currently 0.50€ per adult per night and must be paid in
    cash on arrival.

Cancellation, Returned Deposit and Non Arrival Conditions

Guests who need to cancel a booking should contact us as soon as possible.

Deposits are NON REFUNDABLE

  • Cancellation made 15 days or more in advance of the arrival date = the balance payment will not be due.
  • Cancellation made within 8 – 14 days of the arrival date = 50% of balance payment
  • Cancellation made within 7 – 3 days of the arrival date = 25% of balance payment.
  • Cancellation made 48 hours or less of arrival date = NO refund issued and full payment of the booking is due.
  • Non- arrival of guests – failure to attend will require full payment of the booking.
  • Cancellation due to forced measure – Covid Lock down = full balance refunded, if paid in advance.

We suggest that guests take out appropriate levels of holiday insurance.

Force Majeure – a forced closure usually by the demand of the French Government For example as with the Covid 19 Pandemic.

Unless otherwise explicitly stated in these Booking Conditions, we shall not be held liable or provide
compensation in situations where our contractual obligations to you are impacted by “unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances.” This refers to any event beyond our control, the consequences of which could not have been mitigated even with the implementation of all reasonable measures.

Examples encompass :-

  • Wars, armed conflict, and acts of terrorism (or the imminent threat thereof)
  • Civil unrest and strikes
  • Serious threats to human health, such as the occurrence of severe diseases, including any mutation or variation, and the enduring impacts of Covid-19 or SARs-COV2
  • Natural calamities such as floods, earthquakes, or adverse weather conditions that make safe travel to the destination impossible or staying at the destination unsafe.
  • This also encompasses actions by any government or other national or local authority, including port or river authorities, industrial disputes, lock closures, natural or nuclear disasters, fires, chemical or biological disasters, unavoidable technical problems with transportation, and all comparable events beyond our or the relevant supplier(s)’ control.

In the very rare event that we need to cancel your booking with us, please be aware we cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond our control and that our liability to you is limited to the refund of the deposit already paid.

N.B. If you choose to end your holiday before the date prior booked NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN.

Wi-Fi Fair and Appropriate Usage Policy

We provide WIFI Internet access, guests accept to use this access to the internet fairly and appropriately. We may monitor network performance and user usage in order to maintain a fair and high level of service for all guests. 

The WIFI / Internet provided is intended for general use such as access to the world wide web, email, messaging and social media.

It is not intended for use for gaming and extensive downloading / uploading. Access to illegal activity is not permitted and will be reported to the authorities.

Insurance

Central Brittany B and B recommend that individuals take out comprehensive travel insure themselves to include appropriately covering the specific activities to be participated in during their time here in Brittany.

Liability and Risk

  • While at the property Central Brittany B and B all individuals are responsible for their personal safety.
  • Guests are responsible for their behaviour towards guests and staff, behaviour deemed unacceptable, includes excessive consumption of alcohol, inappropriate language of including but not without limit to this list of racist, homophobic, sexual, terrorist.
  • Walking and cycling are an activity of choice individuals are responsible for assessing their own ability to participate in their chosen walks or cycle ride and we Central Brittany B and B accept NO responsibility for accidents resulting from individual imprudence, navigational errors, or intentional disruptions in progress, notably due to adverse weather conditions.
  • Every customer acknowledges the inherent risks associated with walking or cycling, particularly those that entail venturing into areas remote from immediate medical assistance. The requisite level of fitness and experience is to be accessed by the individual and participation in walking or cycling is of the individual’s choice. Customers willingly accept these conditions and associated risks, assuming responsibility for any accidents, injuries, or their exclusion from walking or cycling resulting from their own actions, unless such incidents arise from our negligence.
  • No responsibility for accidents resulting from individual imprudence, navigational errors, or intentional disruptions in progress.
  • Central Brittany B and B hold no responsibility for inclement weather conditions that deem walks unable to commence or walks that are abandoned due to adverse weather conditions.

Damages and Lost Property

We reserve the right to charge the lead guest for any damages caused by any party member during the stay. This includes breakages, spillages, stains, damage to furniture and fixings.

All accidental damages should be reported as soon as they happen.

Lost keys will be charged at 7€ per key.

Any property or belongings left by guests if found will be held for a period of one month. While we will make the best effort to locate and return lost property to the owners we accept NO responsibility to replace items we will return via post if required. Cost of postage to be paid for by the guests.

Children

We welcome children to stay with a responsible adult over the age of 18 years. 

All responsibility for children staying is that of the parents / carer / booking lead named person.

Children using the Garden must do so with an adult and not on their own.

Please note Only the bottom terrace is available for Guests * the garden is not secure there is a road which can be accessed.

WE DO NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY OF USING THE GARDEN AND YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Pets and Service Dogs

We do NOT accept pets, with the exception of service dogs for the blind or disabled.
Pets that are staying with prior consent, must stay in the room of the guests in a bed / basket provided by the guest and NOT ON THE BEDS.


Please note – the garden is not secure and we are located close to a road and not suitable for pets.

** If you arrive with a pet an additional cleaning fee will be charged of 20.00€ **

Parking

CARS

Where on-site parking is provided guests accept that they park at their own risk and NO liability or responsibility is taken by the proprietors.

Parking is limited and offered on a first come first served basis. There is additional public parking less than 1minute from the house.

BIKES

We have the facility to park your bikes securely in our garage, we provide bike stands. We also have the facility to wash bikes and carry out small repairs.

Accessibility Statement

Central Brittany B and B / Chambre D’hotes is accessed via a staircase and steps. Please ensure that you can climb them when booking. The rooms are on the second floor of the house, which is also accessible by stairs.

Both staircases are equipped with handrails.

Your Personal Details and Privacy

We are required by law to keep a register of guests who stay with us, this includes full names and nationality, passport / ID card details, place of issue, date of birth, address and telephone number. 

All personal details recorded both on the booking in card and on our database or through our website are kept secure and not shared in any way.

You will accept that if you make an entry into our on-site guest book you will not add personal details that you would not want to be disclosed.

When leaving a personal email address you are accepting that you may receive email communication from Central Brittany B and B

Social Media

We appreciate positive social media coverage and invite you to follow and tag us in your posts. Sharon often likes to take photos for publicity on social media. If you agree to have your photo taken, please know that we take this as confirmation that you are happy to be featured in our social media posts.
